The family of a twenty three old Orange Walkeno is tonight mourning his death after his life came to a tragic end following a traffic accident near the Mameyal curve on the Philip Goldson Highway.
The incident involving a Ford Ranger Pickup truck and a motor cycle played out a little after 8:00 this morning and claimed the life of Matthew Bull, a resident of Yo Creek Village in the Orange Walk District.
Information we were able to gather at the scene indicate that Bull was traveling towards Orange Walk Town when just a few miles in the outskirts of town he tried to overtake a cane truck travelling in the same direction when he collided into this white Ford Ranger pickup truck which was traveling in the opposite direction towards Corozal. The name of the driver is yet to be released by police.
Witnesses told CTV3 News off camera that the impact of the collision resulted in Bull’s immediate death as his body was flung off his cycle and onto the pavement just a few yards away from where the crash took place. Police however, are yet to confirm what was relayed to us the scene and are yet to indicate if anyone will be charged in connection with this latest traffic incident.
