Screen_Shot_2017-05-30_at_7.46.01_PMThe lifeless body of a Corozal resident was discovered this morning floating in the rough waters of Corozal’s Bay, in an area in front of St Francis Xavier Primary School.


The individual has been identified as 43 year old Anthony Edwin Pasos, a labourer of Corozal Town.

CTV-3 News spoke to family member’s off-camera. They shared that Pasos was last seen on Monday morning, before midday. They did not become alarmed when he didn’t come home as he is no trouble maker.


However, they became startled at the news that Pasos’ body was discovered in the waters by a resident around six this morning. The Police authorities were called to the area and they removed the body, taking it to the hospital where a post mortem was expected today.


Pasos’ body was seen with abrasions on his head, but it is suspected that he may have either fallen from the slippery surface near the sea or received injuries from the battering waves this morning.

A post mortem examination conducted this morning certified that Pasos drowned.
