VicksThe Department of Health services is advising Belizeans to exercise caution when purchasing the popular Vicks products. It has come to the attention of the Department that counterfeit Viks’ Vaporub and Vicks’ inhaler products have been discovered in retail stores in separate locations, including in Venezuela and the US. The Counterfeit products are said to be sold to distributors who then sold to smaller independent stores in various countries.

According to reports, these counterfeit products pose a threat to the general public seeing that legitimate manufacturers follow strict government regulations to protect consumers from hazardous products but counterfeit products have no such safeguards.

Belizeans are reminded to remain vigilant for all the many illegitimate products in our market which can prove harmful to one’s health.
