Screen_Shot_2017-09-12_at_8.16.28_PMCorozal Town is making major news tonight after what seems to be an improvised explosive device was found in a yet to be disclosed area of the town on Saturday evening.

Police authorities have disclosed very little, except for giving confirmation that that the device wrapped in a bag was found. From the photos we’ve seen, the device seems to have been assembled with a number items including a phone, which normally is the trigger.

Now, an I.E.D.…found in Corozal Town?? That takes strange and scary to a whole new level for the normally quiet, peaceful municipality.

Its discovery has sent alarm bells for our security officials. The BDF bomb experts were called to Corozal to inspect the device.

As we said, there has been very little coming out of the authorities but we will keep searching for answers.
