Screen_Shot_2018-01-18_at_7.46.08_PM“We are following up”…that’s the only response so far on the matter from an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

CEO Patrick Andrews, who is away on official business, responded to questions of the Guatemalan military presence in Belize, by indicating that the Ministry has requested reports from the agencies involved – we’re guessing he is referring to the Ministry of Immigration and the Customs Department to start with.

Andrews noted that there is a standard procedure when dealing with situations of this nature, and they will be following it.

He added that they expect reports from the agencies at the earliest.
