More than a month has gone by since the brutal killing of fifty-four- year-old Braulia Pech in the village of Carmelita and until today, her son twenty-five-year-old Andy Rhaburn who stands accused of her murder has not been charged for the vicious crime.
Rhaburn as viewers may recall is accused of causing his mother’s death after he hit her on the head with a crow bar on the morning of January 16th at the family’s home in Carmelita village. Rhaburn was also accused of attacking forty-three-year-old Lilia Xujur some 300 yards away from where he attacked his mother.
Following the incident Rhaburn fled the area and avoided police for several days before being captured on January 22nd in some bushes in the outskirts of Carmelita Village where he was shot once to the left arm and hip by police. After his capture Rhaburn remained hospitalized for over three weeks.
On February 12th Rhaburn was released from the hospital and was officially charged with one count of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm in relation to injuries caused to Lilia Xujur, however he is yet to be charged with the murder of his mother as police investigations continue.
We will continue to follow this case and report any update as they become available.
