Screen_Shot_2018-06-18_at_7.55.20_PMAs we reported, P.C. Cob was due for a transfer to the Punta Gorda Town Police Formation. The transfer of officers is a regular occurrence, and normally comes any time after serving two years at a municipality. But there will be more transfers from Corozal, and sources indicate that there will be significant changes as well including the arrival of a new Officer in Charge. This we find strange since Superintendent Sinquest Martinez had taken over the Police Formation just one year ago.

Martinez we note, has been a stickler for strictness and discipline at the Department. With him at the helm, there have been many rumblings about his officers being not too happy with his demands.

We can’t say with any assurance that this has anything to do with his tenure coming to a quick end, but we hope to get some answers from the top brass of the Police Department.

We also understand that Deputy Officer in Charge Peter Serano is also up for transfer, but he has served numerous year in Corozal.
