noimageReports from international news outlet “ChoSun media” today indicates that a ship which docked at a port in South Korea and which was suspected of carrying illegal North Korean Coal into South Korea is reportedly registered to Belize. According to the report the Korean Customs Service reportedly searched the vessel but found nothing suspicious however an investigation is currently ongoing on the matter.


The ship is said to have docked on Thursday afternoon and was reportedly bound for Tianjin, South Korea.

South Korean authorities are said to be investigating five vessels including the Belize-registered ship carrying the name “shining rich” for transporting North Korean Coal which was banned by UN Security Council resolutions back in August of 2017.


The report further adds that authorities have informed that they will take action against these vessels based on the outcome of ongoing investigations.
