Shots were fired in the village of Carmelita in the Orange Walk District on the evening of November 22nd, luckily no one was injured and tonight police are looking for the man responsible of firing more than five shots in the air.
CTV3 News understands that at around 6:30pm on Friday Francis Anthony Bustamante Senior AKA Buca was driving a grey Tracker within the village when he became engaged in a conversation with Andres and Jaime Moreno. All indications are that the conversation somehow escalated into an argument and Bustamante pulled out a firearm, pointed it towards 43-year-old Jaime and fired two shots in the air before driving off.
When Bustamante was about 15 feet away from the men, he is said to have fired four more shots in the air. We understand that the shooting is as a result of an ongoing dispute between Bustamante and Jaime. Bustamante is expected to be charged for discharging a firearm in public and aggravated assault when detained by police.
