Due to the Long Easter Holiday starting from Friday April 22nd to Tuesday April 25th the Mexican Embassy in Belmopan, Belize City and the Honorary Mexican Consulate in Corozal will be closing its doors. CTV3 News understands that the consular services in Belize City, including the issuing of passports and visas will be suspended during those days. Work at all offices will resume on Tuesday, April 26th.

For those Belizeans who are thinking about traveling over the Mexican Border for the Easter Vacation you are reminded that Belizeans do not require a visa to visit Mexico.

Belizeans are reminded that they can enter Mexico with a valid Belizean Passport after filling out an immigration form obtained at the Mexican border or at any airport.

Belizeans can also enter Mexico by using their “FMVL”, which entitles its holder to visit up to three consecutive days the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, including Chetumal, Bacalar, Mahahual, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
