Friday we told you about Police Constable Raul Medina attached to the Orange Walk Police Formation who was arraigned in Court for the crime of theft. Tonight the spot light is on Police Constable Yannick Wade who is facing the long arms of the law.


On Friday San Pedro Police reported that sometime between Wednesday April 30th and Friday May 2nd, KBH Security company left eight .38 revolvers and 101 (.38 live ammunition.) in a metal safe box at the San Pedro Police Station. Upon making checks on Friday morning police realized that the metal box was missing.

An investigation was launched and over the weekend Belize City Police arrested and charged 27 year old Police Constable Yannick Wade. Wade was charged for two counts of keeping firearm without a gun license and two counts of kept ammunition without a gun license.  PC Wade has been additionally charged for the crime of theft.

CTV3 News understands that San Pedro Police is currently interrogating all officers that were on duty during the days that the firearms and ammunitions went missing and have so far recovered two of the stolen weapons. Police is also working on recuperating the other six firearms that remain missing.
