Yesterday afternoon the badly decomposed body of 21 year old Abel Arturo Robinson was found in some bushes in the Palmar Area.  Due to the advance state of decomposition the body could not be moved and subsequently remained on site up until this morning when a post mortem examination was conducted by Doctor Mario Estradaban. The post mortem reveled that Robinson received a gunshot wound to the head and his throat was slashed. This morning as family members prepared to lay their loved one to rest; our news team went back to the scene of the incident and filed the following report.

Early this morning family members returned to the scene where 21 year old Abel Arturo Robinson was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head and a laceration to the throat. As the scenes of crime personnel combed the area for evidence that would lead them to Robinson’s murderer his family watched as his body was placed in a casket ready for burial.

“I was hurted that I had to put my little brother in that whole there but he make I find him and that he wanted me to do put him and have a proper burial and laid him there to rest.  They are going there and they are getting the correct person but the main person they no get yet. There is a third individual and that is the main one to get. They just put Abel where he doesn’t belongs, they chance him because Abel belongs in a nothing any one of them got, Abel friend that person feeling that that person wasn’t going to do him nothing because he never think nobody will hurt him because he friendly and he is not going to hurt once he know you.”

Today, as Robinson was laid to rest, his family is looking for closure and demanding justice. But tonight, despite the fact that police are looking for two Orange Walk residents who they believe can assist them in their investigations, there are a number of questions that have gone unanswered.

“The post mortem was done early this morning and the cause of death was determined to be traumatic asphyxiation due to slash injury to the neck.”

“Have the police detained anybody for that even?”

“Not so far but we have two suspects that we are looking for at this point in time.”

“Have the motive of the murder been established?”

“Not as yet we are still in the process of recording statements from witnesses and we are also following several leads.”

“The body of Abel was he killed on Friday Morning or over the weekend?”

“From the state of decomposition the doctor has put it somewhere around two to three days so we will not be able to say whether or not it was Friday morning.”

“Has police been able to follow the lead pertaining that he was shot?”

“Not so far, we haven’t gotten that yet, but that story was told to us and we are certainly following on that as well.”

“All I could say right now is that we will cool it down and we will sit down once the police do their job and once the police do their job but if they don’t do their job I can’t say nothing more about that but  they are doing their job right now, I could say that but all could tell them right the main man no get catch yet.”

As previously mentioned Robinson went missing on Friday. According to family members, despite the fact that they filed a missing persons report, no assistance was provided to them by the police.
